Whole School Development: Overview

The objective of Whole School Development is to improve overall management systems and communication at all levels, throughout the school.

Research has shown that improved school management positively affects the quality of teaching and learning In turn, this achieves the vision of growing inspired, high-quality, well-equipped teachers and thus improves learning.

WSD comprises:

  • Weekly on-site mentoring with staff
  • Co-teaching and lesson observations
  • Organisational structure
  • Policies and procedures
  • Mentoring and training
  • Financial training/assistance
  • Whole staff instructional practice
  • Learners study skills
  • Phase interventions
  • Social-emotional learning in education
