A total of 93 TIs are expected to graduate this year as KICP awaits the final 4th year UNISA results. KICP wishes to thank the funders who have offered their ongoing financial support and made it possible for the 2023 cohort of aspiring educators to complete the KICP internship programme.
As results emerge, a large number of distinctions in various subjects have been noted and recent TI year-end reflections have expressed the value of the experience of the school-based mentoring model which now enables all graduates to enter the teaching profession with confidence and high expectations. The 80 returning TIs will be joined by the 75 new teacher interns who have been recruited to join the programme in January 2024. Both cohorts will begin the new year by attending their respective summits before entering their allocated schools.
