Inclusivity is a central focus of both the In-service and Pre-service portfolios. For In-service teaches, the programme is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills needed to manage large classrooms while effectively addressing the diverse learning barriers their learners may face. Student teachers on the Pre-service programme also receive specialised professional development workshops which enable them to engage with, and support, learners with special needs in school. Teaching inclusively involves adapting pedagogical approaches, classroom environments, and curricula to respond to the varied needs of a typical learner community. All Inclusive Education provisions are firmly based on KICP's overarching focus on social and emotional learning.
As part of this effort, a dedicated KICP team works alongside schools to support learners with neurodiverse needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Educators participate in regular training sessions and are supported by inclusive education specialists who provide strategies for addressing teachers' and learners' needs. To further support inclusive teaching, new learning resources have been introduced to accommodate a range of learning styles and requirements.
