The foundation Phase Recovery Programme is an in-service professional development programme that is equipping and supporting schools to bridge learning gaps. As a response to the Covid pandemic, KICP embarked on a programme to recover lost curriculum time in the Foundation Phase. Fundamental numeracy and literacy concepts are crucial to all subsequent learning, and the loss of classroom time in this phase had a devastating impact on the future skills and abilities of these learners.
